Cray Valley Suburban 2017-18

In a nail biting end to the 16-17 season, Cray Valley’s Suburban team managed to win the league on the very last game of the season. Needing twelve points from our last four games it looked at one point as though it could be too much of an uphill task, but although a very young squad the boys showed real maturity and quality as the wins were chalked off one by one to win the last four games and deservedly go on to win the league.

In a memorable season we had a fantastic cup run in reaching the league cup final. We beat some very good teams along the way in Tonbridge Angels, Woking and Boreham Wood before eventually narrowly losing 2-1 to MET Police in a game of high quality from both sides that really could have gone either way.

This season we’ll be playing in the Premier division of the Suburban Football League, with new challenges for our developing squad against strong opposition, which Tommy Osborne and the team are all looking forward to.
